We decided to walk to St Martha's church by taking Pilgrims Way on a lovely, sunny Sunday in May. It was unbelievable to reach untouched green areas just in 5 minutes from the town centre. We are living very close to such vast green regions and it is fantastic.
After walking for a while in the forest,we saw a couple of English horses, enjoying the sun and the grass. One of them approached immediately. He was gorgeous. Black and shining like a pearl. Later, another one came towards us, but this one was a little bit shy. Lastly, a white horse looked up and approached. He was very curious, sniffing everything.
Then we started climbing the steep road. We reached St Martha's Church the moment we were out of breath. As we climbed the view was becoming amazing, but still mostly covered with branches and bushes. There was also a separate road for the cars, and people are used to ride horse on this path. British people love to greet each other as they meet during walking.
The view from the church garden was stunning. It was not possible fully capture the view with ordinary cameras. There was a family, doing picnic on the grass, with the sandwiches, drinks, little cute children playing around. There were some people who had brought their elders to have some fresh air and sun. They were selling some fruit juice at the door and we got some.
Later we headed downwards the hill. It was more difficult than climbing actually, to control the legs and muscles. Now the sun reached a better position in the sky, so the photos were better. We saw the horses again, and entered a narrow, new path inside the fields.

Önümüzde ardımızda çocuklarıyla yürüyenler de vardı. Onlar için bunlar sıradan haftasonu yürüyüşleriydi.
We were not alone on the path. There were people with their children, walking too. This was nothing new to them, a usual walk on Sunday in the nature. How lovely!

Climbing again. This time a lower hill, not very steep. When we reached the top, we felt the wind and sun, sat down and had our food. We rested a while. People had gone out for a walk, mostly elder ones, or some people with their dogs. I remembered some neighbors in my city who were taking their dogs out to the garden of the apartment, but nowhere else! How happy these dogs were! And how lucky! They had all the green, the grass, the nature under their paws.

Then we walked down the road to the town centre. It was a 3-hours-walk and we did our best in this lovely weather. Thank you for this day dear Pinar!
