Kopenhag, Danimarka! - Copenhagen, Denmark!

Üç günlük bir konferans için Kopenhag'a indiğimde beni 15 dakikada kent merkezine getiriverecek beş yıldızlı otelden hallice bir tren bekliyordu. Hava serindi, oysa Haziran ayıydı, sıcaktan kaynayan bir İngiltere'yi ardımda bırakıp gelmiştim.

Metro sistemleri çok gelişmiş, herkes İngilizce konuşabiliyor, ama İngilizce bilgilendirme tabelaları hiç yok sokaklarda. Özellikle Ulusal Müzeyi ararken zorlandık, çünkü haritada bazı sokak isimleri de atlanmıştı.

Danimarka pahalılık anlamında gerçek bir çılgınlık. Yüzlerce Kuron veriyorsunuz bir içeceğe, aslında birkaç sterlin ya da Liradan fazla etmiyor.

I was welcomed with an underground train which was no different than a 5-star hotel suite when I landed Copenhagen for a 3-day conference. It was cold, although it was June; and I had left an England which was boiling behind me.

Underground system is excellent, everyone can speak English fluently, however there were no signs in English anywhere. It made our lives hard especially when we were looking for the National Museum of Denmark, because some street names were skipped in the maps.

Denmark is a total madness considering the prices. You pay hundreds of krone to a bottle of drink, which is actually a few pounds or Turkish Liras.

There was a Welcome Reception for the conference participants in Copenhagen Town Hall. It was nice to see all those historical buildings around.

Flaman keki. Elmalı, bir harika. Zaten o kadar çok tatlı türü var ki hayatımdaki en sağlıksız beslendiğim 3 günü geçirdim diyebilirim.
Danish pancakes. With apple and cinnamon. Lovely. There were so much of these desserts that I can say these 3 days were the days in which I had the most unhealthy nutrition in my life.

We not only watched the gifts in the shops, but also took pictures of them! The cheapest and most logical gifts for your budget are the postcards. Interestingly, the fridge magnets were available for cheap in the hotel reception.

Nyhavn, gerçek bir güzellik. Burada oturup bir şeyler atıştırmak çok keyifli, hele yanınızda tam kafanıza göre insanlar da varsa! Büyük porsiyonlarda gelen yemeği paylaşın, böylece finansal olarak çökmezsiniz. İleriye yürürseniz denize kadar gidebilirsiniz, ayrıca nehir turları da var.

Nyhavn is a total beauty. The most interesting tourist attraction. Try to find a place in the cafes or restaurants here, and you are lucky if you are with friends. Share the food that comes with big portions, so you will not ripped out of money. You can walk towards the end of the canal till the sea, there are some canal tours too.
